This course will outline and explain the following;

1) Key transferable skills that employers look for.
2) Tips and information on how to develop transferable skills.
3) The process of gaining part time work from initial job search, CV and cover letter writing, interviews and finally accepting job offers.

This Day in the Life in Further Education course will give you an insight into a range of areas including:
1) Understanding the benefits of studying in Further Education.
2) Identifying your skillset through a personality based careers quiz.
3) Be able to identify important study skills for Further Education and explain how you have already begun to develop these skills.
4)Attempt some mini subject taster sessions of courses within the FE sector.

During this course you will find out about key skills needed to transition onto Level 3 in Sport. We will also cover volunteering and coaching, looking at how these can help your progress and development. We will touch on some of the units that are covered in the Level 3 programme to give you a taste of content that will be taught. Finally, you will find out about career pathways and see interviews with a number of people from a range of jobs including journalism and commentary, Football management and a PE teacher.

This course will introduce you to the main methods of law making within the English Legal System

This course is designed to get you an insight and flavour of studying Ancient History at A Level. It will involve looking at two key events in the ancient world – one in Roman history and one in Greek History. Both of these events had profound effects on their society.

A-Level Psychology covers a range of different topics over two years. This taster session will give you an idea of some of those topics that are taught at A-level . It will also offer an insight into what studying psychology may be like and provide some examples of where studying psychology can take you after completion of your A-levels.

This course has been designed specifically for students undertaking a Level 2 programme and aims to encourage you, as a student, to take greater control over your studies, providing you with strategies to study more effectively and build confidence as an independent learner.

The course is designed to enable learners to develop their understanding and practice the skills required for living and studying at university. Lessons will include both the academic skills and life skills needed for university.

This course is designed specifically for Level 3 college students who are working towards and intend to progress on to university.

This course will will give learners the knowledge and understanding required to apply for a range of entry-level roles within the uniformed protective services sector, or for employment as an apprentice within the sector, where learners will complete additional training and qualifications to gain the skills and knowledge required to progress in their chosen profession.
