This Day in the Life in Further Education course will give you an insight into a range of areas including:
1) Understanding the benefits of studying in Further Education.
2) Identifying your skillset through a personality based careers quiz.
3) Be able to identify important study skills for Further Education and explain how you have already begun to develop these skills.
4)Attempt some mini subject taster sessions of courses within the FE sector.

This short course will introduce you to the different ways you will learn as a university student. It will explore the approaches to learning and how they are different from learning at school and college. It will give you an insight into the different types of learning that form part of the typical day for a university student.

This short course will introduce you to different types of Social Workers and explore the types of work they each do. You will learn how Social Workers work with children, adults and families that are experiencing challenges in their lives and needing additional support or guidance.

This course will outline and explain the following;

1) Key transferable skills that employers look for.
2) Tips and information on how to develop transferable skills.
3) The process of gaining part time work from initial job search, CV and cover letter writing, interviews and finally accepting job offers.

This course is an introduction to the concept of employability and the core skills employers look for. The course will also allow you to create CV’s and Covering Letters, and understand their importance. “

This course is designed specifically for Level 3 college students who are working towards and intend to progress on to university.

This course is aimed at those who are leaving secondary school to progress into Further Education. It will help you to identify and develop your own goals at a time in your educational career where it is time to think about your next steps.

This series of lessons will give you an insight into the job roles that are available in the IT Industry. Each section with give you an overview of what the job involves and what qualifications are needed to carry out that job role, as well as videos describing what it is like to carry out that job from the perspective of someone who is already doing it. There are also some interactive activities to help you to understand what each job entails.

This course will support you with the how’s and whys you should progress into the Sports and Active Leisure Industry.

This course will help you develop academic study skills required when transitioning from Further Education into Higher Education.
