Progression & Transition

This course will take you through the transition between a level 2 program to level 3 and understanding how this transition works. Also the support you will be given in that transition and the benefits that can come from this.

This course is a series of sessions that will guide you as you prepare to leave education and step into the world of work.

During this course you will find out about key skills needed to transition onto Level 3 in Sport. We will also cover volunteering and coaching, looking at how these can help your progress and development. We will touch on some of the units that are covered in the Level 3 programme to give you a taste of content that will be taught. Finally, you will find out about career pathways and see interviews with a number of people from a range of jobs including journalism and commentary, Football management and a PE teacher.

This is an introduction to Sociology as a subject and gives you an idea of some of the topics you may study on an A level Sociology course.

This course will will give learners the knowledge and understanding required to apply for a range of entry-level roles within the uniformed protective services sector, or for employment as an apprentice within the sector, where learners will complete additional training and qualifications to gain the skills and knowledge required to progress in their chosen profession.

A-Level Psychology covers a range of different topics over two years. This taster session will give you an idea of some of those topics that are taught at A-level . It will also offer an insight into what studying psychology may be like and provide some examples of where studying psychology can take you after completion of your A-levels.

Your A-Level Politics Course will look at the following aspects of UK politics: democracy, political parties, electoral systems, voting behaviour and the media, ideologies, the constitution, parliament, the Prime Minister and the Cabinet. You will also study US politics or global politics.

This course will introduce you to the main methods of law making within the English Legal System

This course is designed for Level 3 Health and Social Care students and focuses on the progression opportunities available. The course is designed to enable learners to build their understanding of opportunities by exploring job roles, skills and qualities and then progression opportunities.

This course is an introduction to studying Criminology at level 3. Criminology is the study of crime in society. Why do people commit crime? How can we stop them?. This course is designed to give a taster of what a criminology course might include.
