The transition from secondary school to A-level can feel overwhelming and scary. However, if you are determined to develop the right skills to be successful, you will find yourself in a better position to start your A-level studies.

This course will support you with the how’s and whys you should progress into the Sports and Active Leisure Industry.

This course will take you through the transition between a level 2 program to level 3 and understanding how this transition works. Also the support you will be given in that transition and the benefits that can come from this.

This course is a series of sessions that will guide you as you prepare to leave education and step into the world of work.

This course is aimed at those who are leaving secondary school to progress into Further Education. It will help you to identify and develop your own goals at a time in your educational career where it is time to think about your next steps.

This course will go through each stage of language acquisition and will explore the lexis (words), semantics (meaning), grammar (structure) and phonology (sounds) a child develops and can use during each stage. After looking at the stages of acquisition this course will also explore how adults can aid children’s development of language during the different stages.

This short course will introduce you to different types of Social Workers and explore the types of work they each do. You will learn how Social Workers work with children, adults and families that are experiencing challenges in their lives and needing additional support or guidance.

This series of lessons will give you an insight into the job roles that are available in the IT Industry. Each section with give you an overview of what the job involves and what qualifications are needed to carry out that job role, as well as videos describing what it is like to carry out that job from the perspective of someone who is already doing it. There are also some interactive activities to help you to understand what each job entails.

You will learn: How crude oil is formed and separated into useful fractions, the properties and trend of those different fractions, how to draw and name alkanes, the properties of alkanes, the differences between complete and incomplete combustion of fuels, how pollutants are formed and what problems they cause.

This course is aimed at level 3 learners and will focus on the need for homeostasis and describe the principle of negative feedback.
