The transition from secondary school to A-level can feel overwhelming and scary. However, if you are determined to develop the right skills to be successful, you will find yourself in a better position to start your A-level studies.
All life on Earth exists as cells, they are the building blocks of all life. In this session you will cover both Eukaryotic and Prokaryotic cell structure and function. How cells are studied and the cell cycle.
This course will go through each stage of language acquisition and will explore the lexis (words), semantics (meaning), grammar (structure) and phonology (sounds) a child develops and can use during each stage. After looking at the stages of acquisition this course will also explore how adults can aid children’s development of language during the different stages.
This course is suitable for learners who are studying AS Level Further Maths. The course introduces you to complex numbers, looking at both the cartesian and modulus-argument form. As well as exploring how we can perform arithmetic on complex numbers, this course will introduce you to loci in the complex plane, and how we can use complex numbers to solve equations.
This Day in the Life in Further Education course will give you an insight into a range of areas including:
1) Understanding the benefits of studying in Further Education.
2) Identifying your skillset through a personality based careers quiz.
3) Be able to identify important study skills for Further Education and explain how you have already begun to develop these skills.
4)Attempt some mini subject taster sessions of courses within the FE sector.
